Who we are

Dave Watts, Principal:

Dave has 30 years of experience and success in high-tech sales, consulting, an management. He has successfully sold software, hardware, networks, and services, working with technologies that range from mainframes to PCs to the web. Typically exceeding his annual quota by wide margins - and the recipient of many sales awards - he has personally sold well in excess of $100 million in products and services over the course of his career. Customers have ranged from global 2000 corporations, federal agencies, and state and local governments to early-stage and middle-market companies.  Dave uses his 30 years of experience to recommend and bring in experienced Associates to help in areas requiring specialized expertise such as sales training, marketing, and recruiting.

Dave's management experience includes serving as Managing Director of his own service firm, VP of Sales and Marketing and board member for a successful multi-million dollar software project consulting firm, and manager of a highly profitable international professional services group, delivering network application solutions in the U.S, Canada, and Mexico. He spent a decade at DEC (now HP), where he helped create a national consulting practice and was repeatedly recognized as being in the top 1% of the company's sales force. Dave also qualifies as a "cellular pioneer," having been hired as employee #24 at US West New Vector Cellular (now Verizon), and he continues to have a strong interest in the wireless industry and mobile solutions of all kinds.

In addition to a Bachelor's degree from the University of Washington, where he worked for the then-nascent Computer Science Department, Dave completed technical education at the Carnegie Mellon/ University of Pittsburgh Information Network Institute and has taught courses on advanced sales techniques. He has been involved extensively in supporting startup and emerging ventures through direct participation in organizations such as WTIA, MIT Venture Labs (past Chair and Board member for multiple years), Zino Society and Keiretsu Forum. Dave has also presented to several groups on doing business in China while at GrapeCity, a pioneer in establishing successful high-tech business operations in China and Southeast Asia.
